Meet the Riverside Team Behind Benson ADU Riverside
When you hire an ADU builder, you’re not hiring a logo. You’re hiring the people who show up at your property, answer your questions, and swing the hammer. Our Riverside crew has built accessory dwelling units across Southern California, from compact JADUs converted out of existing garages to full two-bedroom detached units with their own addresses. We’re led by Troy Eastman, and every person on the team wears a uniform, passes a background check, and works from the same written-price playbook. No mystery subcontractors. No scope creep. Just a crew that knows Riverside’s neighborhoods and answers to one standard.
Our People

Troy Eastman, Owner & Project Lead
Troy has spent his career in residential construction, and he’s the person who walks your site before a single number gets written down. He’s the one who will tell you that a detached ADU with a setback variance will add three weeks to your permit timeline, then quote you a price that already accounts for it. Troy writes the way he talks on a job site: clear, unhurried, and specific about dollars. He believes every homeowner deserves a written number before work starts, which is why Benson ADU Riverside has never operated on a verbal estimate that shifts later. When he’s not on a build, he’s usually reviewing prefab panel specs or calling the city about a submittal.
Marcus D., Senior Installer
Marcus has over a decade of framing and finish carpentry experience, and he’s the lead hand on most of our site-built and prefab ADU installations. He’s certified on Abodu, Cover, and Boxabl panel systems, which means he’s spent real training hours learning each manufacturer’s connection details and tolerance specs before touching a job. Marcus is precise about the unglamorous stuff: anchor bolt placement, shear wall nailing patterns, flashing details that keep water out for decades. He commutes in from Moreno Valley and keeps a small notebook in his vest with measurements from every project he’s worked on. Ask him about the time a Riverside County inspector complimented his header work and he’ll shrug and change the subject.
Elena R., Service Coordinator
Elena is the person who picks up when you call Benson ADU Riverside. She’s been coordinating residential construction projects for seven years, and she handles everything from scheduling your initial site visit to sending your digital invoice by link. Elena knows the difference between a JADU and a detached ADU, and she can explain the pricing ranges for both without putting you on hold. She’s the reason you’ll never sit through a voicemail loop when you call the office. Elena lives in Riverside and has strong opinions about which taco spot near the Mission Inn is actually worth the wait.
Jordan P., Apprentice
Jordan joined the crew after completing a pre-apprenticeship program in construction technology, and he works alongside Marcus on framing, panel setting, and finish work. He’s learning the trade the right way: watching, measuring, cutting, and asking questions when something doesn’t make sense. Jordan handles material staging and job site organization, which means your project stays clean and walkable from day one to final inspection. He’s a Riverside native and graduated from Poly High. Give him another two years and he’ll be running his own installs.
One Standard, Every Job
Benson ADU Riverside is part of the Relay Home Co. family, founded in 2006, and this location operates independently under The Relay Visibility Guarantee. What that means for you is simple: a written price before any work starts, a 365-Day Done Right Promise, a written guarantee on every project, and a free second visit if any covered repair fails within the warranty period. The Riverside crew upholds that standard on every job we take. We build with leading prefab brands including Abodu, Cover, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, Boxabl, Plant Prefab, and Tuff Shed, plus James Hardie cladding. Those aren’t names we picked out of a catalog; they’re manufacturers with public spec sheets and reputations you can research yourself. Every crew member you meet, from Troy to Jordan, works under the same written-price rule and the same one-year done-right promise. That’s how a local team earns trust in a market full of vague estimates and unanswered calls.
